Description
Nabil Al-Nuaim was the founding leader behind the launch of Aramco Digital in 2023, and Nabil has recently been appointed as CEO. He takes the helm to lead the Aramco Digital
mission, contributing to the digital transformation of the energy and industrial sectors, in alignment with the national aspiration for a technology-driven future under Vision 2030.
With over 33 years of cross-industry experience, Nabil has been instrumental in shaping Aramco's digital and business transformation. Prior to this role, he served as the Senior Vice
President of Digital & Information Technology at Aramco, where he led the company's digital strategy, IT operations, cybersecurity, and the development of advanced technologies
such as AI, big data, cloud computing, and IoT.
His leadership also extended to building a strong digital talent base, championing innovation, and launching impactful initiatives such as Aramco.ai and Aramco MetaBrain, which
are central to Aramco's generative AI journey. He also spearheaded the Global AI Corridor, focused on localizing AI, enabling Saudi startups, and attracting global AI talent and
investment.
Nabil launched the Saudi Accelerated Innovation Lab (SAIL) – a national hub accelerating innovations in areas like blockchain, quantum computing, and other frontier technologies,
while fostering collaboration across global ecosystems.
His distinguished career includes leading Aramco's international business as President & CEO of Aramco Asia, overseeing strategic investments and partnerships in China, Korea,
Japan, India, and Singapore. He also held key roles in Corporate Affairs, Community Services, Environmental Protection, Energy Strategy, and Business Transactions.
Nabil currently chairs the board of CNTXT, Cyberani, the National Information Technology Academy (NITA), and NextEra. He also serves on the board of Aramco Asia. His previous
board memberships include prominent organizations such as Cognite AS, Saudi Electrical Company (SEC), S-Oil, Showa Shell, and Marafiq, among others.
Nabil holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) and Texas A&M University
respectively. He also obtained an MBA from MIT Sloan Business School.
