Description
For the past five years, Thales has been designing and implementing quantum algorithms for use cases in its various civil and military domains.
The presentation overviews Thales key actions in the area of Quantum Computing, and outlooks initial results obtained on existing quantum computers on applications in the domains of radar optimisation, air traffic control, space, and security. It also touches on the hardware-agnostic methodologies for multi-criteria evaluation of quantum computers, based on an application-oriented approach for non-specialist end-users.
France has cutting-edge assets in quantum technology to be among the global leaders of the quantum computer race, and Thales is playing a key role in this game: as a QPU early adopter, pioneering at scale the quantum computing based applications; as a dual company, synergizing quantum algorithms for civil and defense use-cases; as a global hub of partnerships, connecting startups, major companies and research organizations around quantum machines, algorithms and real use-cases; as a leader of the French/European benchmark initiative, structuring the evaluation methodologies and standardization metrics for quantum computers and applications.
