Description
Ricardo leads Dell’s Global Industries’ FSI program globally, with a focus on vertical solutions for the
Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets segments.
Prior to taking this role Ricardo led and developed the Global Industries team in EMEA, including
Healthcare, Retail, Energy and Safety & Security verticals. In this capacity he has led the expansion of
the vertical industries business across the region with consistent growth across verticals and markets.
Before joining Dell Technologies, he has worked for HP Enterprise where he has led the Strategic
Partner Sales team in the Asia-Pacific Region over a course of 7 years, based out of Singapore.
Ricardo has also worked for HP Enterprise in EMEA, assuming roles in Vertical Industries (Healthcare,
Retail and FSI), Consulting & Integration projects and leading transformation programs in large
outsourcing deals with a pan-European responsibility, based in London.
Previously, Ricardo was an integral part of HP’s Mergers & Acquisitions team, having been deeply
involved in several large mergers, including EDS’s 2007 acquisition and integration.
Early in his career, Ricardo founded and spun-off a small software start-up in 1991. He subsequently
worked for Computerland, Microsoft, and GE ITS, until formally joining Digital/Compaq/HP in early
2000.
Ricardo has had formal education in Civil Engineering and has lived and studied in 4 different
continents. He is married, has two sons and is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, where he practices
his life-long passion for sailing as a certified skipper.
