Description

Michael Lauk has more than 25 years of experience in business as well as research in the healthcare field in Germany and the USA. During his professional career, he co-founded 10 start-ups, where he worked in different management and board positions, most recently neuroloop GmbH, a start-up designing an active implantable device to lower blood-pressure, that is now part of B. Braun / Aesculap. Since September 2021, he is Chief Digital Officer of B. Braun SE, driving B. Braun’s transformation to a technology company serving the future digital healthcare markets. In this function, he is also responsible for the corporate start-up B. Braun New Ventures that is developing robotic technologies for Neurosurgery. Michael earned his PhD in physics in Freiburg and Boston. He is a data scientist and an early mover in the Digital Health arena and seasoned in designing healthcare products and marketing strategies. He has executed more than 50 medical device projects, and initiated several co-operations between companies, hospitals, and universities.
