Karim Beguir is the co-founder and CEO of the AI company InstaDeep, which was acquired by BioNTech in 2023.
A member of the World Economic Forum's Council on the Future of AI, he is an advocate on the global stage for the need to democratise AI and its strategic importance in developing countries.
He led the team that created the AI-powered Early Warning Systems for High Risk Covid Variants and played a pioneering role in using LLMs for biology.
He helps companies and leaders come to grips with the latest AI breakthroughs and deploy them.
He's also a mentor at the Google for Startups Accelerator, a steering committee member of Deep Learning Indaba (Africa’s largest ML community) and sits on the World Economic Forum's Council on the Future of AI.
