Ivan Zhao is Co-founder and CEO of Notion. He created the company with his co-founders in 2013, initially focusing on tools for note-taking and documents. In 2018, he launched Notion 2.0, which introduced databases for project management and workflows, and in 2025, he launched Notion 3.0 - the biggest evolution yet with Notion AI Agents at the center. Under his leadership, Notion has grown into a $10 billion leader in AI-powered collaboration and productivity software. Prior to Notion, Ivan worked as a product designer at the education publishing startup Inkling. He holds a degree in cognitive science from the University of British Columbia.
