Description

Viviana Cañón Tamayo is UNICEF’s Frontier Data Network Program Coordinator, she has a bridging role between technology and social impact. Since 2017, she has led global frontier data collaborations with governments, academia, and the private sector, including partnerships with the Government of Spain and Scotland, the World Bank, MIT Sloan, and ISI Foundation. She holds a master’s in international development from Sciences Po Paris. Before joining UNICEF, she worked on initiatives such as the Open Algorithms Project (OPAL) and the scaling up of 42, the French disruptive coding school. Early in her career, Viviana worked in the Colombian government on Official Development Aid and South-South Cooperation.
