Cyril Schiever is Senior Vice President, International Strategic Projects at MSD, where he leads the company’s AI strategy. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and President of MSD’s Mid-Europe Region, overseeing operations across 32 countries.
With over 30 years of international experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, Cyril has held senior leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Canada. Throughout his career, he has championed innovation, inclusion, and collaboration, empowering diverse teams to translate scientific advances into meaningful patient outcomes at scale.
A strong advocate for the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and data, Cyril is particularly focused on how AI and real-world evidence can improve clinical decision-making, accelerate evidence generation, expand access to innovation, and help modernize healthcare delivery. He is passionate about ensuring that patients benefit from medical innovation regardless of where they live.
A firm believer in collaboration across sectors, Cyril has built a strong track record of public-private partnerships. During his tenure as Managing Director of MSD France, he founded MSDAVENIR, a €100 million research endowment fund dedicated to supporting life-science innovation.
