Description

Emre Ozcan is the Global Head of Digital Health and Devices at Merck, where he leads Merck Healthcare’s “around-the-drug” innovations across the care continuum. His mission is to enhance and differentiate the value of Merck’s therapies by shaping markets, empowering healthcare professionals, and improving patient care to achieve better outcomes. Previously, Emre led Merck Healthcare’s strategy and digital & data transformation efforts within Operations. Prior to joining Merck, he was a Junior Partner at the Boston Consulting Group, advising clients in biopharmaceuticals and medical technologies on strategy, market access, and healthcare systems. He also led private-public partnerships for innovation at Gavi, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization. Emre is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Advisory Group on Healthcare Digital Transformation. He holds a BA from Yale University and both a PhD and MPhil from the University of Oxford. He also serves as a guest lecturer on healthcare strategy at IMD and the University of Geneva.
